Two Local Businesses Set to Consolidate
Designavision owner to become co-owner and managing partner of Speedy Print.

Cambridge, OH (October 3, 2018) - One year after acquiring and revitalizing local print company Designavision, Cambridge native and local businessman Jim (Jimmy) Jackson is at it again. By the end of October, Jackson will merge with longtime printing and promotions company Speedy Print. Dan Titko, Speedy Print owner, struck the long-term deal with Jackson who will be co-owner and managing partner.

“I’ve known Dan for almost 30 years. We have the same passion for customer service and high-quality products,” said Jackson. “Although we both offer vinyl signs, banners, and vehicle wraps, I bring screen printing and embroidery to the table while Dan is an expert in the field of paper products and promotional items.”

The new company will keep the well-known name Speedy Print and introduce a new logo and brand campaign over time. Designavision will move its equipment and employees to 235 Dewey Avenue by the end of October to coincide with the completion and re-opening of the Viaduct Bridge project. Titko will remain closely involved in the business but looks forward to spending more time with his wife, Terri, and daughters in Florida.

“The hard work and dedication to Speedy Print has been so important to me over the past 27 years. I worked seven days a week to build it from the ground up,” said Titko. “Jimmy is the perfect business partner to continue our work and expand Speedy Print’s capabilities. I like to say that Speedy Print was established in 1991 and re-established in 2018.”

Both Jackson and Titko plan to invest in new equipment and software, hire additional employees as needed, and expand the service footprint. Redesigning gospeedyprint.com is a top priority for Jackson.

“We have a lot of room for growth,” added Jackson. “In addition to the combined network of customers, we have the Internet which opens up tremendous opportunity to print and ship anywhere in the United States.”

Discussions for the consolidation started several months ago and both teams have been working hard to prepare for the merger.

“I have to thank my family for all their patience and support, especially my dad Jim Jackson Sr.,” said Jackson. “He spends a lot of his retirement time at the shop every day and it’s been a big help.”

Both Designavision and Speedy Print will continue business as normal during the transition and look forward to investing in the community while providing outstanding service to new and repeat customers.
